ABOUT READING MADE EASY
Experienced, Knowledgeable, Competent
I provide intensive, systematic instruction.
I use programs that address phonics, phonemic awareness. fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Instruction is systematic - building skills gradually, introducing them in isolation and then integrating them with the other skills. I provide frequent opportunities for practice and provide specific feedback that is positive and helpful.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
I will start by giving your child a comprehensive reading evaluation that will pinpoint your child's strengths and weakness. I will use this information to develop a personalized learning plan. This plan will be tailored to meet your child's specific needs and allow them to learn at their own pace. At the same time they will be building the skills and confidence to become readers for life. To enhance your child's success I am willing to communicate with your child's teacher(s).
I will use a 50 minute session on Zoom for students Kindergarten through Second grade. During each lesson I will use a Structured Literacy approach which prepares students to decode words in a explicit and systematic manner.
Also , after the current restrictions that are in place due to the COVID-19 crisis have eased I will be able to provide in person sessions at your home, your local library, or at my home located in the 16 Acres section of Springfield or continue using Zoom if preferred.
